Love the old photos! For some reason I always think these photos captured more detail and expression then todays portraits (or im just nuts).

I agree, I think that many of these photographers were real artists. They were waiting long enough to capture the facial expression, the nature of the persons.

Thank you very much! The g.g.-father was a French Canadian and his wife was from Scotland. The pictures have been taken around 1900 I think(?).
